Dante Aaron Deville

"It takes two to tango." Videlle spoke boldly, allowing her body to melt into his. Her hips begged to be closer to him, her hands wanted to roam his body, Videlle stopped herself. She knew that it was because she hadn’t been this close to a man since her breakup but she also knew that that wasn’t the entire reason. She could not blame this heat on loneliness, even if she wanted to. His words only make her heart beat harder, her nervousness grow as well as her need for his flesh to connect to hers. "Good thing I’m immune to feet sweeping." Her teasing tone matched her teasing movements against him.

Dante felt her move closer to him and part of him responded immediately to it, wanting to rip that dress right off of her and have his way with her as soon as humanly possible but he could aslo see the hesitation in her eyes. As if she wasn’t entirely sure this was what she wanted. Still her teasing was a good indicator and Dante could help but ask, “How immune?” as he twirled her around before pulling her back to him just as the song ended. Kissing her hand he added, “Because I’m really quite good at it, gorgeous. Thank you for the dance.”

"Dante I-.." Videlle was about to protest that was likely not going to be the right partner or whatever it entailed for him when he took her drink and set it on the bar. He pulled her out onto the dance floor and she felt the most self conscious she had ever felt in her life, what if he hated the way she danced, what if the people around them stared. Oh she couldn’t think straight than she looked up into those ocean eyes he possessed, they were the perfect shade of blue. Videlle eased with the sight of eyes and found herself moving into the dance as flawlessly as ever. Being the close to him, the way she felt his words on her neck, it was hypnotic. "I’m glad." Videlle spoke before she moved herself closer, "You’re not too bad yourself."

The way she moved was entrancing as if dancing was the only way she knew how to move properly. He could sense her hesitation and doubts but then she looked up into his eyes with her beautiful brown one’s and he felt her reluctance fade as they settled into the dance and she moved closer to him as she said she was glad and complimented his dancing too. Dante grinned as they kept moving and responded, “Well I’ve heard dancing is good way to sweep a girl right off her feet. I suppose knowing how gives me an advantage here but I can tell I’m not the only one who knows what they’re doing here.”

"Oh well if it makes you feel any better, this isn’t much my scene either." Videlle’s response came out a little quicker than normal, she was obviously flustered. Her fruity drink, along with the song that came on, Videlle felt like dancing. "Do you dance?" She asked, hoping that he would say yes, if he said no she would still find a way to get him on the dance floor.

"Much better and I do with the right partner," Dante answered back, taking another sip of his drink before setting it down on the bar and then taking hers and doing the same. He took her hand again and led her to the dance floor before pulling her close to him and then starting to move to the music. Dante’s alcoholic mother hadn’t taught him many good things but at least she’d taught him how to dance properly before she’d died. "Looks like you’re the right partner," he commented as he noticed how well she kept pace, smiling at her.

"Steal you away? I-Didn’t. I mean I wasn’t asking because.." Her rambling was halted and she let the nervous laugh escape, she was incredibly terrible at this. How had she forgotten how to flirt? Looking at him with the look of a troubled puppy, she spoke again, "I came with my friends too, but I don’t think will be a problem tonight." She looked over at the noisy girls at the other end of the bar, she should be calling them a cab soon. "Do you do this often?" She asked him, Videlle herself was only just starting the bar/clubbing scene again.

Her response was enough to tell him that he’d gotten under her skin. That was definitely a good start. He’d never seen a girl quite as beautiful as her before and he just wanted to know her. Dante laughed at her question and answered, “No. I don’t usually go out much. I spend hours of my day in a club. The last place I want to go after getting off work is another one. But my friends asked so here I am and as luck would have it so are you.” He sipped his drink again then, his smile playful as he waited to hear what she had to say in return.

He took her hand back and Videlle swallowed down the butterflies that threatened to leave her stomach and come out her throat. He really was the most charming bartender she had ever met, “Cheers.” She spoke as she clicked her glass with his, the sweet liquid tasted heavenly. Moving the small strawberry that sat in her glass, Videlle looked at him, “Who did you come with tonight?” Curiosity peaked on her part.

Videlle tapped her glass against his and they both sipped their drinks. But he could tell she liked him already from the way she was swirling the strawberry in her glass and smiling and asking him without asking him whether he was here with a girl. Dante smirked and answered, “Just some friends. Nobody that I’d let steal me away from you though. Not until you want me to go at least.”

lookingforvidelle:

"Fate?" Videlle questioned, she wasn’t a big believer on all that stuff but somehow it seemed to make sense between them. "If the fates want you to by me a Strawberry Martini then I can’t exactly say no, can I?" She questioned with a little laugh escaping her.

image

Dante shook his head at that and retorted, “Of course not. It would just be rude, really.” Taking her hand in his, Dante led her to the bar and ordered her martini for her and himself a scotch. He made sure to hold onto her hand until he was forced to let go to pay and then smiled at her and picked his drink up before saying, “Cheers to fate,” and then taking a sip of his drink.

lookingforvidelle:

As he took her hand she noted the size difference between his and hers, his hand touching hers sent shivers down her back and she pulled her hand back respectively after the hand shake was done. “I-Thank you, it’s a family name.” Pushing a loose strand of her behind her ear, “You want to buy me drink? After I made you wear my last one?”

image

"You’re welcome," he said, smiling at her question before continuing, "And I do. Because I was sure I’d never get to see you again and I feel as if I’d be remiss if I let the chance to get to know you slip away while I have it. Some people would say it’s fate that we ended up here together tonight and you happened to spill your drink on me."

lookingforvidelle:

"Oh right, I’m sorry about that. My friends they kinda whisked my away." Videlle was incredibly rusty when it came to guys, dating the same one for three years will do that to you, holding out her hand she answered him, "I’m Videlle, it’s nice to meet you Dante."

image

"I saw that. Not that I blame them after what happened," Dante said as he took her hand in his and shook it before adding, "The pleasure is all mine though, Videlle. Beautiful name for a beautiful girl. So now that we know each others names, how about a drink? Mine seems to be empty now."

When he laughed Videlle grew even more troubled, her nerves peeking from the fact that he was very attractive and she had just been such a spaz in front of him. “Nice enough surprise to forget the spilled drink?” She tried with a small smile, “I can’t believe I’m such a nerd.”

image

"Only if you tell me your name. You ran off so fast last time we met that I never got to ask you what it was. I’m Dante though," he replied, grinning at this gorgeous girl who seemed to have no clue what she was doing.

lookingforvidelle:

"What d-…Oh my god!" Videlle spoke as she set the glass down and trying to clean him, her face displaying her new found distress, "I am so sorry, I wasn’t looking where I was going, I am the worst."

image

Dante laughed at that and responded, “Well maybe not the worst but most girls would buy a guy a drink. Not spill one on them. I wasn’t expecting to see you again though so I suppose this is a nice surprise.”
